Air Emission Inventory Information
DNR is required to obtain annual stationary point source air emission
inventory each year from air pollutant emitting facilities throughout
the state. Each year between 1,500 to 2,100 facilities report air emissions. This web page supplies hyperlinks to all information pertinent to the annual air emission inventory.
The topics covered in this web page include:
- 2007 Air Reporting System (ARS)/Hazardous Waste Reporting System (HWRS). Instructions and status information on reporting air emission inventory or hazardous waste information.
- Air NR 438 Pollutants .
- Historical Information. Air emission
data from 1985-2006 has been summarized for the most of the air pollutants
having national ambient air quality standards. Information is supplied
for carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), Particulate Matter
(PM), Particulate matter under 10 microns (PM10), sulfur
dioxide (SO2), and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC, which
is also known as Reactive Organic Gases (ROG)).
- Emission Summary Information.
DNR sends information out in January for annual air emission inventory
reporting. The data is updated by companies and returned to DNR for
processing in March. Emission summaries are sent to companies with the
calculated results in April and May.
- Who to call for help. A listing of DNR air emission inventory and hazardous waste personnel by DNR region.
