ARRA Wisconsin Clean Diesel Grant Program

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has established the ARRA Wisconsin Clean Diesel Grant Program to help reduce diesel emissions from both public and private vehicle fleets across the state. The program is funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Funds will be dispersed between on-road, off-road, and stationary engine projects. Each fleet applicant may apply for up to a total of $100,000 (excluding match dollars) for any of the following strategies, some of which have match requirements: exhaust control retrofit devices (grant covers 100%), idle reduction devices (grant covers 50%), engine emission upgrades (grant covers 100%), engine repowers (grant covers 75%), and/or equipment replacement (grant covers 25%).

Please thoroughly review the grant Guidelines to determine eligibility and specific program details. If after reviewing the Guidelines you still have questions, please contact one of the program staff listed below. All forms required as part of the application and award are included on this page. Applications must be postmarked by August 3, 2009.
