Special Topics

Over the years, the Air Management program has worked on special air pollution topics that are of concern to everyone in Wisconsin. The state was one of the first to pass acid rain pollution control rules back in 1986. Work on climage change (global warming) began sometime around 1990. Efforts to address open burning through educating the public about its hazards are continuing today. To learn about these topics, please see the links below.
