The Switchboard Registration Steps

This process is designed to help you start using the Switchboard. If you have already used any of the Current Electronic Business Tools, you do not need to create a new WAMS Wisconsin User ID. Use your existing User ID and Password to log in to the Switchboard. However, you may still need to complete the Switchboard Registration form (step 3) to add new electronic reporting capabilities to your User ID.

This Switchboard Registration Tutorial shows an actual registration. You can use this detailed summary of the registration process to follow along as you register.

If you are new to electronic business then you'll need to complete the following steps (please note that after step 2, you will need to return to this webpage to complete step 3):

  1. Create a WAMS Wisconsin User Id by clicking on the link and completing the self-registration form. Please only fill out the required fields indicated by the red asterisk.
  2. Activate your WAMS Wisconsin User ID. After completing step 1, you should receive an email from WAMS@Wisconsin.gov with a web link to click on to activate your WAMS ID. After you activate your ID, click on "Previous Application" to return to this webpage.
  3. Request access to the switchboard by completing a Switchboard Registration form for each facility that you would like access to. You may also use this form to add roles to your current facility.

You will know that your registration is complete after you are asked to print, sign, and mail a confirmation page. We will be working to get you set up as you requested, which could take a day or two, and we may need to contact you or your firm if there are any questions about your request.
