Angler Education: Educational Grants & Contests

The Angler Education Program will maintain a list of grant opportunities. Check back often as more grants will be added as the information becomes available.

FFF Grants Future Fisherman Foundation - Physical Education Grants Initiative: [exit DNR] Grants in the amount of $2,500 to certified teachers to introduce America´s youth to the out of doors and to angling. Last year´s grant proposal due date was February.
GLFT Grants Great Lakes Fishery Trust - Ecosystem Education Projects [exit DNR] Grants to educational, governmental, tribal, and nonprofit institutions with a 501(c)(3) designation for specific funding goals, themes and priorities. Pre-proposals accepted through mid-January each year and proposals due in April.
EPA Grants U.S. EPA´s Environmental Education Division (EED) [exit DNR] Grants to support environmental education projects enhancing the public´s awareness, knowledge, and skills to help people make informed decisions that affect environmental quality. Each year grant [exit DNR] schedules and applications materials are available in September.
WEEB Grants Wisconsin Environmental Education Board [exit DNR] Grants for environmental education programs. 2009-2010 grant cycle will most likely require applications be submitted by February.
NRF Grants C.D. Besadny Conservation Grants Program [exit DNR] Grants from $100 to $1,000 to promote the responsible stewardship of Wisconsin´s natural resources at the local level by providing matching grants for small-scale, natural resource projects and programs. Applications for the next grant cycle will most likely require applications be submitted by mid-January.
 

State-Fish Art Contest

Wildlife Forever State-Fish Art Contest Wildlife Forever - State-Fish Art Contest [exit DNR] There are three categories of competition for each state: grades 4-6, grades 7-9, and grades 10-12. Students are eligible to win Scholarships, Art Supplies and Fishing Gear - deadline March 31, 2009.
