It depicts fire fuel type by township, from pine to marsh. The fire hazard digital data also contains information on fire occurrences, Christmas tree plantation coverage, and number of improved parcels per township, however that is not portrayed on this map.
Fire occurances Fire Occurrences - Fire Occurrences portrays a point for each reported fire occurrence in DNR Fire Protection from 1982 to 2005.
Levels of Protection (LOP) - This map shows the levels of protection assigned by the DNR to each township for fire protection. The levels are based of township-wide fuel type characteristics and number of improved parcels.
