Why Plan for Forests?
Wisconsin's forests purify and maintain the quality of our water resources and provide habitat for a variety of plants and animals, including threatened and endangered species that make their homes nowhere else. Forests also balance the effects of global warming and air pollution by producing oxygen and storing carbon. Our forests contribute to the quality of life that we cherish and help to create the landscape that Wisconsinites are proud to call home.
