Note: As of June 13, 2008, Marinette County is no longer participating in the DNR Suppression Spray Program. According to Mr. Cleereman, Marathon County's involvement will be limited to passing on information about private sprayers. Anyone with more than 20 acres of land may want to organize a private aerial spray project. Information on this option is available on the DNR's website at http://dnr.wi.gov/forestry/Fh/spray/. This information can also be obtained by contacting Gypsy Moth Suppression Coordinator Bill McNee at 920.662-5430. Ground-based sprays can treat a few yard trees and are typically applied by a certified arborist. Information on hiring a certified arbirist is available at the Wisconsin Arborist Association webiste at http://www.waa-isa.org/arborists/search.asp.
