Overview
Last Spring (2007), we introduced a new database sytem for volunteers.
For instructions, click on the link to our user's guide below, or take a look
at the abbreviated steps below.
User ID and Password, How to Get One
If you entered data online last year,
you can use your existing WAMS account (user id and password). If you haven't gotten a user id and password:
- Go to wisconsin.gov.
- Click on the link in the upper right-hand corner (get your Wisconsin User ID and Password) and follow the steps to get a User ID and password.
- Then, email Jennifer with your User ID and what lake(s) you're monitoring. Also please include whether you're doing Secchi monitoring, Aquatic Invasives monitoring, or any other monitoring activities. Also, if your monitoring is part of a Lake Grant or AIS grant, let her know.
- We will email you back to let you know when you're all set up.
More detailed instructions are at:
How to get a WAMS (wisconsin.gov) user id and password.
User ID and Password, What if I Forgot?
- Go to Wisconsin.gov's account recovery page.
- Scroll down and enter either your email address or User ID.
- You will receive an automated email from Wisconsin.gov (If you don't see the email after about 20 minutes, check your Spam or Junk Mail folder.)
- Click on the link in the email, and follow the steps to reset your password.
- If you have trouble still, contact Jennifer. While we at DNR don't generally have access to your password, we can help
make sure you're able to log in again soon.
User ID and Password, Mine Isn't Working
If you just signed up for one, be sure to email Jennifer with your User ID. Also include what lake(s) you're monitoring and
what activities you're doing (i.e. Citizen Lake Monitoring, Clean Boats/Clean Waters, LoonWatch). We need to set you up in the SWIMS database so it'll know what lake you monitor, etc.
If you've already entered data in the past, but forgot your log-in information,
see User ID and Password, What if I Forgot?.
