Governor's Task Force on Waste Materials Recovery and Disposal
Governor Doyle announced the formation of a Task Force on Waste Materials Recovery and Disposal on Earth Day 2005, and charged it with developing recommendations on a wide array of recycling, resource recovery and waste management topics by December 2006. The Task Force submitted its report to the Governor on December 26, 2006. Council on Recycling
The Wisconsin Council on Recycling is a citizens group appointed by the Governor to advise the Governor, Legislature and state agencies on solid waste reduction, recovery and recycling policy. The Council is attached to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for limited purposes and is staffed by the DNR. Current members include individuals representing industry, business and local units of government.
