"The big one that got away"One day in a town called Barrington, Illinois, there was a lake called Timberlake. My dad and I went fishing there one day. All day we caught bluegill and a couple smallmouth bass. Then again I caught a bluegill and I put it back in the water. Then, all of a sudden something huge was thrashing at it. My dad threw in a night crawler on the hook and then the fish grabbed a hold of it. It was a huge largemouth bass about 22 inches long, and weighed about 6 or 7 pounds!!! Unfortunately my dad had the tip of the rod down and it spit the hook out. Then we had to go home. Thanks for the story! |
