Hardship Financial Assistance Deadlines

Clean Water Fund Program

DECEMBER 31

To compete for hardship financial assistance, a municipality must submit a Notice of Intent to Apply (ITA) form and a Priority Evaluation and Ranking Form (PERF) postmarked on or before December 31 prior to the state fiscal year in which funding is being requested. The state fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. Since limited funding is allocated based on priority scoring, it is essential that the municipality submit an accurate and complete PERF. If a municipality intends to apply for hardship, please check the box requesting hardship financial assistance on the ITA form.

JUNE 30

The municipality must submit a Financial Assistance Application on or before June 30 of the year prior to the state fiscal year from which funding is being requested. The state fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. Make sure the application is complete; this includes receiving facility plan approval from the Bureau of Watershed Management and completing Part IX of the CWFP application. (See Application Contents-CWFP.)

AUGUST 30 (most often the year following application)

The municipality's Financial Assistance Agreement must be executed by August 30th of the calendar year following the year in which the funding list is published.
