Valor Award
Criteria for Recognition:
- A situation of extreme danger to the employee.
- A strong possibility exists that injury or death to the individual at the time.
- The act of valor, bravery or courage is beyond normal expectations.
Life Saving Award
Criteria for Recognition:
- Performed a life saving act.
- The individual would not have survived without the employee's assistance
and/or actions.
Award Honoree's
Law Enforcement Distinguished Service Award
Criteria for Recognition:
- Demonstrated extraordinary commitment to Department goals and/or
protection of Wisconsin's natural resources.
- Went above and/or beyond what is normally expected of an employee
during the performance of their duties.
- Successful in the apprehension and conviction of a person(s) or corporation,
which was far above a routine
enforcement effort. The employee was engaged
in a significant community wardening effort.
