Education - Snowmobile Accident Reduction Team

The Bureau of Law Enforcement unveils a new snowmobile accident reduction team.  Conservation Warden Supervisor Dave Holmes appears in the photos while conducting an interview about the team with TV-2 In Green Bay.

This highly visible team is designed to travel to areas with high snowmobile use and past, fatal snowmobile accidents. Their objective is to reduce accidents through enforcement of snowmobile safety laws and visible presence. The team will operate from late December to the end of February concentrating on high-use days. The team will be made up of wardens from throughout the state and will consist of 12 members of which 6 will be assigned to any one weekend.  The accident reduction team concept received support from the Governor's Snowmobile Recreation Council, the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs and the Wisconsin Legislature.
