Law Enforcement Opportunities

The following specialized positions are promotional opportunities within the warden force:

Environmental Investigations - work on serious criminal violations of environmental law

Special Operations - covert investigators work on commercialization of resources

Law Enforcement Safety Specialists - promote DNR safety programs and work with volunteer instructors at the regional level

Warden Management/Supervision -First line supervisors and regional wardens run the day-to-day operations. Bureau staff wardens serve to enhance field operations, work with legislative initiatives, and track work plans and finances.

Training & Recruitment - Manage the warden hiring process, coordinate new warden training and supervision; coordinate specialized and continuing education for wardens statewide.

Recreational Safety Administration - Safety administrators coordinate all boat, snowmobile, ATV, and Hunter Education programs across the state.
