Training Opportunities

As natural resource professionals, DNR staff have to deal with complex environmental issues. In the regional offices around the state, staff are often called upon to help the public understand and manage these complex issues. Computer tools can help!

These free, hands-on workshops will increase your awareness of and ability to use web-based computer tools that will save you time, increase your efficiency, and help you produce meaningful and useful products, like customized maps. You can use these computer tools to define critical resource issues, help groups tackling important local issues, or you can use the resulting products in your research, reports, or presentations.

You don’t need to know GIS at all to benefit from these workshops. Don't miss this free opportunity.

Brownbag Series

To increase awareness of computer tools that can be helpful natural resource professionals, the Science Information Services Section is sponsoring a land use brownbag series. (Unless otherwise noted, all sessions take place in Madison at GEF2 room G09)
