Laboratory Data Entry System (LDES)External LinksThe links below will take you out of the Wisconsin DNR website. The sites listed below are federal government websites. EDSC - Environmental Data Standards Council develops environmental data standards to promote the exchange of
information among States, Native American Tribes, and US EPA. This Web site provides the authoritative information
on Council actions, environmental data standards, and related information. EPA - Environmental Data Registry (EDR) - The EDR is a comprehensive, authoritative reference for information
about the definition, source, and uses of environmental data. USDA - Integrated Taxonomic Information System - Here you will find authoritative taxonomic information on plants,
animals, fungi, and microbes of North America and the world. EPA - Substance Registry System (SRS) - The SRS provides information on substances (chemicals) and how they
are represented in the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and information systems. USGS - Water Quality and Data Elements - The Methods and Data Comparability Board and The National Water-Quality
Monitoring Council have prepared a list of what we believe to be the necessary or "core metadata" to allow
comparability assessments. The list proposed is not a set of required information, rather, it is intended as a means
to help data collectors more easily consider the most important water-quality data elements needed to assess data
comparability. Last Revised: Thursday May 14 2009
