Incinerator Operator CertificationRenewing Your CertificationThe certification period for both Chief Facility Operators and Shift Operators is one year. Every certified operator will receive a renewal reminder letter approximately six weeks before the certification expiration date. Please note it is the operator’s responsibility to know their own certification dates and provide continuing education documentation. If a renewal reminder letter is not received, call or email the Statewide Certification Coordinator to update your address or request a copy of the renewal reminder letter. How To Renew Your CertificationMail a copy of the renewal reminder letter and at least 4 hours of continuing education documentation to: WI Department of Natural Resources Continuing education credits may be obtained in many ways. Expired CertificationIf a certification expires, the original required hours of training, certification exam and initial certification fees are required. Ch. NR 499, Wis. Adm. Code [PDF exit DNR] does not allow for late renewals. If you do not have the required four hours of continuing education credits and you are nearing your expiration date, you are encouraged to call the Statewide Certification Coordinator to discuss your certification.
