Of the 246 known snail species in and native to Wisconsin are two State Endangered, two State Threatened, and 27 Special Concern species.
Of the known 51 mussels and 30 fingernail clam species existing in and native to Wisconsin are two Federally Endangered, 11 State Endangered, seven State Threatened, and eight mussel Special Concern species.
Numbers of other known invertebrates in and native to Wisconsin ranges from 16,000 to 25,000 species, eight
of which are listed as Special Concern species.
