Fox River State Trail Conditions

The Fox River State Trail is open with temporary closures in the city of De Pere. See below for details:

Due to the construction of the new Hwy 42/57 bridge in De Pere, there will be temporary closures of the Fox River State Trail for about four city blocks from Merrill Street to George Street. The rest of the 13.5-mile trail from Green Bay through Allouez, De Pere, and Rockland, to Greenleaf is open.

Construction of the Hwy 42/57 bridge will begin in July 2006 and is expected to last until October 2007.

The section of trail from Merrill Street to George Street in De Pere will be closed weekdays, Monday through Friday. This section will be open Saturdays and Sundays.

The four-block section will be completely closed November 1, 2006, through February 28, 2007.

Beginning March 1, 2007, this four-block section will go back to being open Saturdays and Sundays only, and closed Monday through Friday.
