A state trail pass is required to ride mountain bike trails in Peninsula State Park, in addition to a vehicle admission sticker. The Sunset Bike Trail does not require a trail pass. The annual trail pass is valid on all ski, bike and horse trails in Wisconsin that require the trail pass for users 16 years and older.

All roads except Middle Road are now open to vehicle traffic.

Green Bay

Water levels in Green Bay and Lake Michigan are rising but still very low, about 18 inches below the long-term average.

Camping

The Tennison Bay campground is open. Water systems have been shut down for the season. A central water supply and vault toilets are available.

Special Notice: No firewood may be transported into Peninsula or any other state park from more than 50 miles away. Many campers who were not aware of this restriction have had their firewood confiscated at the park entrance. You can buy firewood at the park wood yard. We strongly urge campers not to bring firewood into the park to help prevent the devastating effects of the emerald ash borer and other wood-borne insects. Campers who buy firewood within the 50-mile limit should produce a receipt of purchase.

Campsite reservations are strongly recommended to obtain sites in Peninsula's five campgrounds from mid-May to October 15, 2008. Use the Web or phone (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275 to reserve a site or check for cancellations during these periods:
