The main road in the park is open and provides an excellent opportunity for park visitors to watch wildlife from the comfort of their vehicles. White tailed deer, bald eagles and the tracks of many other animals are easily observed. To reserve a campsite for dates May 1, 2009, through 11 months from today, use the Web or call the toll-free statewide campsite reservation number, (888) 947-2757. To prevent the spread of forest pests and diseases, only campfire wood from Wisconsin and within a 50-mile radius is permitted in the park. Firewood and ice are available for purchase when the Ice Age Center is open. Events and ProgramsMost programs are free of charge, however a park sticker is required to enter the park. National Park System passes also are accepted at Interstate Park, a unit of the Ice Age National Scientific Reserve. Volunteer opportunities at the park are available.
