Governor Nelson State Park Conditions

Conditions as of Tuesday, November 3, 2009:

Beach

All swim lines have been removed for the season and the bath buildings are now closed.

Pets are not permitted in the beach/picnic areas or buildings. We have a pet swim area which is a leash area unless your pet is in the water.

Trails

All trails are open for hiking. Fall colors are past peak but there are some red oak trees with lingering red leaves.

Pets are welcome on all of our trails, as long as they are on a leash 8 feet or shorter, and under control at all time.

Boating and Fishing

One boat landing pier remains on the lake until cooler weather comes our way. For the most recent pier update please call the park office at (608) 831-3005.

All fishing piers have been removed for the season.

Park Stickers

Each vehicle entering the park must have an admission sticker. Annual stickers for 2009 are available now and are valid through December 31.

Governor Nelson State Park has no camping.
