Harrington Beach State Park ConditionsConditions as of Wednesday, February 8, 2012: TrailsTrails are in poor cross-country skiing condition. Several areas have no snow, and the snow in the park has been melting. Hikers should be aware of potential icy patches or stretches. There are some icy patches on the park roads. Please use caution when driving in the park. FishingPeople have not been ice fishing on Quarry Lake. Ice fishing is allowed on the lake but please remember the lake is a former quarry and is usually the last lake to freeze in the county. Park staff do not monitor ice conditions. NatureMany deer have been spotted in the park. A mature bald eagle was spotted flying over the park. CampingThe campground is closed for the season and will reopen in May 2012. Reserve a campsite up to 11 months in advance. Call (888) WI PARKS ((888)947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275) or reserve online. Firewood Notice: Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, firewood from out of state or from more than 25 miles away is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park or Forest properties. Also, firewood that has been in the Wisconsin emerald ash borer quarantined area [PDF 102KB] is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area.
