Harrington Beach State Park ConditionsConditions as of Monday, November 16 , 2009: Trails are in good hiking condition. A few of the trails wind their way through an area open to hunting. Harrington Beach is open to hunting during the regular deer season (November 21 through 29) as well as the muzzleloader season (November 30 through December 9) to hunters with a valid park permit and with a muzzleloader only. It is also open for the late archery season (November 30 through January 3) to hunters with a valid park permit. Areas of the park that are closed to hunting have many hiking trails including the Quarry Lake Trail. The campground is closed for the season. It will reopen for camping on May 5, 2010, for first-come, first-served camping and for camping with reservations on May 14, 2010. ReserveAmerica, the statewide campground reservation system, accepts reservations 11 months in advance. Call (888) WI PARKS ((888)947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275) or reserve online. Fishing has been slow. All shelters, including the Ansay Welcome Center, are available for rent. Please contact the park office to make your reservations. Volunteers are always welcome.
