Trails

Nature trails and hiking trails are open.

Camping

Campsites 1-41 are open. About 10 sites will be plowed throughout the winter. You must register at the park office before setting up. If the office is closed, please read the sign by the front door and use the self-registration materials.

Showers, flush toilets and water fountains are closed for the season. The trailer dump station is still open.

Camping is first-come, first-served through March 31, 2010. Reservations are being accepted for 2010. Use the Web or phone (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275 to reserve a site or check for cancellations for arrival dates up to 11 months in advance.

Accessible Cabin

Kohler-Andrae State Park's new accessible cabin is closed for the season. Reservations for 2010 will be accepted beginning January 10, 2010.

Nature

Deer can be seen every day.

Hunting

Kohler-Andrae State Park is open to deer hunting in specific locations in season. The gun deer hunting season (muzzleloaders only) is November 21 - December 9, 2009. Archery deer hunting is November 30, 2009 - January 3, 2010. Only holders of a 2009 Park Access Permit for deer hunting in Kohler-Andrae State Park (Deer Management unit 77E) may hunt in the park.

The open hunting area includes state land west of the Black River except for state land south of Old Park Road. The Black River Trial system is open to hunters during the entire hunting season at Kohler-Andrae State Park. Recreational users should plan on wearing blaze orange while hiking, biking or horse riding on the Black River Trail system.

The no hunting areas include all state land east of the Black River, which includes the main recreational areas within the state park, the Kohler Dunes State Natural Area, the family campground and all picnic areas.

Hours

The park is open daily from 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. year round.

Office hours are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and most weekdays. If you need to access the office during the week, call first to ensure that the office is staffed.

Sanderling Nature Center is closed for the season. It will reopen May 1, 2010.

The Wisconsin Great Lakes beach testing program [exit DNR] has concluded for the year. Testing will resume in May 2010.

Annual vehicle admission stickers are valid from date of purchase through December 31, 2009.
