La Crosse River State Trail Conditions

Conditions as of Friday, June 20, 2008:

The trail is open and in good condition.

Prairie smoke plants are blooming near the trail, which runs alongside an active railroad line.

The scenery is lush and green from the ample amount of rain we've received. Blue flag iris [exit DNR], golden alexanders, cow parsnip [exit DNR] and spiderwort [exit DNR] are in bloom. Turtles are laying eggs along the edges of the trail.
