Roche-A-Cri State Park ConditionsConditions as of Tuesday, June 24, 2008: Trails are in great condition for hiking. Wildflowers are blooming in the prairie. There are some mosquitoes so remember your insect repellent. Campsites are dry. Four sites are first-come, first-served. There are many quiet sites available during the week. Campsite reservations for dates two days from today through September 7 may be made now. Use the Web or phone (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275. Showers are available for a fee at local vendors. To prevent the spread of harmful insects, state parks and forests prohibit firewood from anywhere more than 50 miles away or from outside the state. Firewood is available at the park office. Park stickers are required for all vehicles; if the office is not staffed, please self-register in the the office parking lot or Czech Avenue / prairie parking lot. If you self-register for an annual sticker, it will be mailed to you. It's a great time to get out and take photos for the annual photo contest. The 303-step stairway allows visitors a great view of the area. Road Conditions [exit DNR] Last Revised: Wednesday June 25 2008
