Wisconsin State Parks and Forests
Outdoor Group Camping

If you have an organization or a group of more than six people who want to camp together or just want an extra-large campsite, group camps are for you. Wisconsin state parks and forests have outdoor group campsites in a variety of environments and sizes. There also are four indoor group camps.

Photo of tentsMost of the sites accommodate 20 to 60 people, but the maximum number of people allowed ranges from 12 to 200 people. Small groups also may reserve adjacent regular (family) sites. Some backpack sites will accommodate 10 people at a site.

Group campsites have picnic tables and fire rings. Most of the sites are for tents only, but some sites allow wheeled camping units. A few sites have electrical hookups. See the group campsite details page for more information.

The same campground rules about quiet hours, vehicle stickers, check-out time, amplified music, trash, and pets apply to group sites as to other Wisconsin state park and forest campsites. Juvenile groups must be accompanied by at least one adult for each 10 members of the group.

Nightly fees for outdoor group camp fees are based on the size of group. Nonprofit youth organizations from Wisconsin may qualify for a reduced rate. There also is a $10 per reservation fee for reservations. Fees are subject to change.
