Winter Recreation at Potawatomi State ParkIf you enjoy Potawatomi in the summer, you should see it in winter! Winter TrailsCross-Country Skiing: There are four different loops in the park for cross-country skiers totaling about 8.5 miles. All the trails begin near the picnic area shelter. Drinking water and toilets are available near the start of the trails and in the campground. Pets are not allowed on the ski trails. If you have questions on trail difficulty, please contact the office prior to starting out. Snowshoeing and Hiking: You are welcome to hike or snowshoe throughout most of the park, as long as you stay off groomed winter trails. If you prefer to follow a trail, try the Acient Sores Nature Trail or Ice Age Trail along the shoreline. Snowmobiling: Potawatomi offers about 8.3 miles of snowmobile trails that connect with county trails on the west and south park boundaries. Snowmobile parking is available at the park office. The Door Drifters Snowmobile Club grooms our trails.
