Brunet Island State Park, on the Chippewa and Fisher rivers, offers more than 1,300 acres of scenic beauty, wildlife, and recreational opportunities.
Quiet lagoons and channels are excellent for canoeing and wildlife watching. The landscape in
Chippewa County is a product of the most recent Ice Age. The rolling terrain carries a wide variety of forest types and
is home to a multitude of wildlife.
From the corner where State Highway 27 makes a right-angle turn in Cornell, go west on Bridge Street (State Highway 64) for .1 mile to Park Road. Turn right on Park Road to the park entrance. Geographic coordinates are 45° 10' 43.9" N, 91° 9' 44.5" W.
Canoe and kayak rentals and firewood are available from local vendors. Check with the park office for contact information.
