In the Glacial Drumlin State Trail Area

Eventually, the Glacial Drumlin State Trail may connect to the Capital City and Hank Aaron state trails, linking together Madison and Milwaukee. Both cities have large networks of pedestrian/bike trails, and the Capital City trail also links to the Badger and Military Ridge state trails in Madison.

Aztalan State Park, just east of Lake Mills along the Crawfish River, is the largest archaeological site in Wisconsin. Lapham Peak and the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest are near the east end of the trail by Wales. Capital Springs State Recreation Area and Lake Kegonsa State Park are near the western trailhead in Cottage Grove.
