Hank Aaron State Trail--Stadium Segment

The Hank Aaron State Trail stadium segment is east of the Miller Park Stadium, directly across the Menomonee River from the Klement’s Sausage Haus. This segment traverses a former brownfield which has undergone some drastic changes. Green riverbanks, park pavilions, and 10 acres of trees and prairie have replaced the steel sheet piling which previously served as a visual barrier to the Menomonee River.

The entire trail is paved with asphalt and features several scenic overlooks of the river and city. It connects with another portion of the trail, along the Menomonee River from 25th to 13th streets, by means of a bridge over the active rail yard.

Over the next few years additions to the trail will be made along the south bank of the Menomonee River. Long term plans include bridges to connect to the trail on the north side of the river, as well as bridges to connect to neighborhoods to the south.
