Cross-country Skiing
Enjoy the park during winter by cross-country skiing. Cross-country skiing
is available on a marked one-way trail. The two-mile ski trail has flat
to gentle slopes and takes you through a variety of beautiful environments.
The trail starts in the picnic area and travels through the wooded southern
campground. It then hooks up to the Woodland Dunes Nature Trail and later
loops through the picnic area back to the beginning. The trail is groomed
regularly when snow conditions and weather permit.

Enjoy a quiet, snowy, sunny day at the park.

Candlelight Ski
Candlelight ski and hike events are offered
at Kohler-Andrae State Park on one or two nights during the winter. The
ski trail is illuminated with tiki torches on posts. Contact the office
for dates of these special events, or check out the Events
page. The candlelight skis are sponsored by a local
citizen support group for the park, the Friends of Kohler-Andrae.
Winter Camping
Camping during the winter at Kohler-Andrae is a great experience. Campsites
1-48 are open for winter camping, with electrical hookup available on
sites 1-44. A frostless water tap is at the park office and a hand pump
near campsite 3. Flush toilets are not available in winter, but vault
restrooms are located throughout the park. Please register at the park
office before setting up; if the office is closed, set up and register
in the morning.
