Canoes and rowboats ready for renting
DNR Photo
Parkview General Store provides a fleet of rowboats and canoes for fishing
or just paddling. It also has three funyaks and two four-seat paddle boats.
Most of the float craft are at Mauthe Lake Recreational Area's boat landing;
however, rowboats also are at Lake Seven, Forest and Auburn Lake.
To rent a watercraft, go first to the Parkview General
Store on Highway GGG, .2 mile north of the Mauthe Lake Recreation Area's
entrance road. After paying rental fees, you will receive a key to unlock your
rental at the boat launch area. A personal floatation device for each person
is included in the rental.

Firewood Sales
The
DNR prohibits visitors from bringing firewood
into Wisconsin State Parks and onto other state-managed lands from more than 50 miles away, from quarantined areas, or from other states. Firewood ($6 per bundle/$5 per rack) is available
at Mauthe Lake and Long Lake Campgrounds. An honor system keeps the cost of
firewood low. The firewood
sheds are open whenever the entrance stations are open.
Food and Camping Supplies
A concessionaire provides food and camping supplie at the beach in the Mauthe
Lake Recreation Area and food is provided in the North Parking Lot in
the Long Lake Recreation Area.
