Enjoying the Mississippi River at Merrick State Park

Merrick State Park offers two boat landings, a canoe launch, self-guided canoe trails, and canoe rental to help you enjoy the Mississippi River.

The many islands and backwaters offer canoeists many places to explore.

Canoes, including paddles and life jackets, may be rented by the hour or day. Stop at the park office for rates and equipment. Whether you rent a canoe or bring your own, you must carry a Coast Guard approved lifesaving device for each person aboard. We recommend wearing the life jackets at all times.
