Travelers passing through the Mill Bluff State Park area are intrigued by the unusual, tall bluffs rising abruptly from the
flat plain.

Straddling the Monroe-Juneau county line near Camp Douglas,
Wisconsin, Mill Bluff State Park offers popular swimming, camping, hiking,
or relaxing opportunities.
Camping and shelter reservations are open from Memorial Day into
September. Day use is open year-round. For shelter reservations,
please call Mill Bluff (608) 427-6692 from May 20 into September,
or during the off-season call Wildcat Mountain State Park at (608)
337-4775.
Legacy of the Ice Age
The park's sandstone buttes were islands in Glacial Lake Wisconsin
during the Ice Age, 12,000 and more years ago.
Mill Bluff State Park is one of nine units of the Ice
Age National Scientific Reserve [exit DNR].

How to Get There
Mill Bluff is on both sides of Interstate 90-94. Take the Oakdale exit
#48 or Camp Douglas exit #55 to U.S. Highway 12/16. Follow signs
to the park.
A valid Wisconsin State Park
vehicle admission sticker is required and may be purchased
at the park. Federal
Golden Eagle, Golden Age, and Golden Access Passports [exit DNR] are honored as admission passes into the park.
Mill Bluff State Park is open seven days a week, but park staff
may be unavailable for assistance at times. A public phone is
near the park office.
Pets
Pets are permitted in the park when on an 8-foot leash. No pets
are to be left unattended. Pets are not permitted in the picnic,
swimming areas or on the nature trail. They are permitted on the
hiking trails and in campsites. Refer to the map
for details.
