Things to Do at Mill Bluff State Park

Swimming

A pond with 2.5 acres of clear cool water from underground springs and 250 feet of white sand beach is available for public swimming.

Changing stalls are available. Don't swim alone or at night. Lifeguards are not provided at any time.

No fishing is allowed in the pond.

Picnic Areas

Mill Bluff has two picnic areas, east and west of Funnel Road. Each area has a shelter, picnic tables, grills, water, toilets, and parking.

Shelter Reservations

The shelter in the east picnic area has electric and is available on a first-come,first-served basis or by reservation. For availability information contact the park staff, or call (608) 427-6692 (May-September) or (608) 337-4775 (off-season).

Programs

Nature programs are presented on selected weekends throughout the season. See our events page and watch the park bulletin boards for program schedules.

Bike Trails

Juneau County's 15-mile-long Omaha Bike Trail can be reached from the park via County Highway W to County Highway C into Camp Douglas. This trail also connects to the Elroy-Sparta State Trail in Elroy.

Church Services

A list of area churches and their schedules is posted on a bulletin board near the park office.
