Programs

Can you hoot like a barred owl? Identify a monarch butterfly? Name the Potawatomi Chief buried near the golf course memorial pole? Find out the answers at a Peninsula nature program. See the calendar of events or ask for a Nature Center schedule when you arrive.

Nature Booklets

Ask for a free Junior Ranger (grades K-3) or Wisconsin Explorer (grades 4-6) booklet at Park Headquarters or the Nature Center. Return the booklet to any state park to receive a free patch and certificate. For children too young to participate in the Junior Ranger program, Peninsula offers complimentary coloring books, while supplies last.

  • Smokey Bear Packs—Take Smokey camping overnight!
  • Family Packs—Organized by topic: birds, trees, beach games and more.
  • Kids' Fishing Poles
