Birds of Whitefish Dunes State Park

You're likely to see and hear many kinds of birds in the forest, brush, grassland, open water, wetlands, and shoreline of Whitefish Dunes State Park. The birds you see will vary with the season and the part of the park where you're looking.

There are so many birds we've divided the list into three checklist pages:

Photo of wading birdThe birds checklist is compiled from the parks’ master plan and observations by park employees and visitors. We would appreciate hearing about any unusual sightings or any birds you see in the park which are not included on the list.
