Dune Goldenrod (Solidago spethulata DC. var. gillmanii)

The dune goldenrod's large heads in narrowly elongated and often-branched inflorescenses make it different from other Wisconsin goldenrods. This robust goldenrod grows to a height of almost one meter. Yellow flowers are produced from early August through October, with seeds ripening from mid-September to October.
