Hunting and Trapping Education Classes
Please use the following links to help you find a hunting and trapping education program. If you have already taken a class, but have lost or damaged your certificate, you may obtain a duplicate safety education certificate.
- Trapper Education - All first-time trappers must complete the Trapper Education Course prior to purchasing a trapping license. Persons exempt from this requirement must be a Wisconsin resident and must have purchased a trapping license before 1992, or be actively engaged in farming as defined in State Statute 102.04(3).
- Hunter Education
- Bowhunter
Education - Any person born on or after January 1, 1973, is required to be certified in either basic Hunter Education or Bow Hunter Education before purchasing any hunting license, including an archery license.
- Firearm Education - Anyone born on or after January 1, 1973 must have completed a hunter education course and show the certificate to purchase any hunting license in Wisconsin.
