Chronic Wasting Disease Research

CWD is the focus of much recently published and ongoing research. With this continued research emphasis on CWD, we continue to increase our understanding of the disease and appropriate management strategies. DNR research publications and extensive bibliographies on CWD research can be found below.

As part of a study of deer behavior and its potential contribution to the spread of CWD, researchers from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, fit a fawn with a radio collar.
