Grade 4

Science

F.4.1 Investigate earth materials and correctly use the vocabulary for rocks, minerals, and soils.

F.4.3 Describe the earth's land and water masses as well as Wisconsin's rocks and minerals.

Environmental Education

B.4.1 Describe the flow of energy in natural systems.

B.4.4 List the components of an ecosystem.

B.4.5 Describe Wisconsin's natural and human-built ecosystems.

B.4.6 Cite examples of how different organisms adapt to their habitat.


Grade 8

Science

E.8.2 Describe underlying earth structures that cause changes in the earth's surface.

E.8.6 Analyze the geologic and life history of the earth, including change, over time.

F.8.2 Show how organisms have adapted structures to match their function for individual and group survival.

F.8.7 Understand that an organism's behavior evolves through adaptation to its environment.
