Public Data Submitted for the 2010 Water Condition Assessment and Listing

In response to the Wisconsin DNR's 2010 Call for Data, interested people, agencies, and organizations submitted the following datasets for consideration for general and impaired waters assessments. A brief summary of how DNR used the dataset is also provided below.

2010 Public Data Sharing

Public and Partner Agency Contributions were received by:

WDNR Solicitation for Public Data & Public Notice Initiated
University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point (UWSP) Routine processing of macroinvertebrate and chemistry data into the state laboratory. Data was use for general and specific assessments.
SEWRPC, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) MMSD, SEWRPC and USGS worked with regional DNR to identify impaired waters with long-term data sets in the Milwaukee River Basin.
Fish Creek Watershed Group Water quality data for Fish Creek was received but did not include quality control measures. Data was used in general assessment.
Washington County LCD Provided data from multiple sites using continuous meters to measure dissolved oxygen. Data was used for general assessments.
Dane County Capital Area Regional Planning Agency Dissolved oxygen data collected with USGS and quality control documentation provided. Data was used for general assessments.
Winnebago County Health Department E.coli data collected at numerous stations around lake. The data was not collected at beaches. Data used for general information purposes.
City of Racine Health Department Notified DNR that water quality monitoring data for Root River, Oak Creek and Tribs had been collected and is on their website.
Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District (GBMSD) Submitted an extensive dataset.
Bad River Watershed Association Submitted data for various waters which were used for general assessments.
Lac Courte Oreilles Conservation Department Provided phosphorus and chlorophyll-a data for Musky Bay. Used in general and specific assessments.
Alliance of the Great Lakes Submitted Impaired Waters Submittal Form and corresponding beach survey data. DNR used data for informational purposes.
