Monitoring & Data Management
A continuing goal for the Monitoring and Data Management Subcommittee is for members to communicate on each program's monitoring programs and data management activities to prevent duplication and increase the utility of monitoring results. This goal is met through regular meetings where members can update one another on their agencies' activities. Functions are divided between a Monitoring Work Group and a Data Work Group. Education
The Education Subcommittee's mission is to review public information and education materials, coordinate educational messages among agencies, and serve as a forum to identify groundwater education needs, ideas and concerns. At each meeting, representatives share information about current agency activities related to groundwater. Research
The purpose of the Research Subcommittee is to assist the GCC in establishing priorities for groundwater research and monitoring activities and to review proposals submitted through the joint solicitation process. Local Government and Planning
The purpose of the Local Government and Planning Subcommittee is to serve as a means of communicating local government concerns and needs related to groundwater protection, comprehensive planning, and water supply to the state agencies that make up the GCC, as well as to share information and get input about publications and information resources.
