Source Water Assessment Program

Schedule of Activities

Following public review, the Wisconsin Source Water Assessment Program Plan was submitted for approval to the US Environmental Protection Agency in October of 1999. The plan received approval in November of that year.

Wisconsin's initial deadline to complete their source water assessment program was May 2003. Due to security concerns and other issues Wisconsin asked for and received an extension that moved the deadline to December 31, 2004. Assessments for all surface water systems assessments and most municipal systems were completed during 2003. Assessments for the remaining municipal systems and smaller public systems were completed in 2004.
