Waterway and Wetland Handbook

In 2005, Act 118 was signed into law and created changes to Chapter 30 of Wisconsin Statutes as well as the administrative rules that interpret these statutes. Please be aware that in most cases the contents of this handbook were written before these law changes and may be out of date or inaccurate. The contents of this handbook and supporting memos are are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon solely. Please consult with the appropriate DNR personnel if you have additional questions. Thank you.

This Web site contains PDF versions of chapters of the Waterway and Wetland Handbook. These electronic versions of the handbook chapters were scanned from the master handbook chapters kept at the Bureau of Watershed Management central office in Madison.

All effort was made to ensure this scanned electronic copy is an actual copy of the hardcopy document. Due to the electronic scanning process, there may be rare instances of typographical errors, omissions or improperly formatted pages. Please refer to the master handbook if accurate transcription is required.
